Scholarships

In 1990 McLanahan Corporation created a Scholorship program to provide financial assistance to the children of McLanahan employees attending accredited colleges, universities or trade schools.

A non-bias panel of local educators reviews the applications and interviews the applicants in order to select the winners.  Each recipient will recieve a one time grant of $2,500 to be used toward thier education.

2008 Award Winners Announced -

Kelsie Shortsleeve, daughter of Beth & Stephen Shortsleeve (Regional Sales Manager for the Aggregate Processing Division).  Kelsie plans to attend Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) with an undecided major.  She is passionate about helping others and may persue a career that involves working with the disabled.

Elizabeth Sidney, daughter of Leann & George Sidney (President & COO).  Elizabeth plans to attend the Altoona Campus of the Pennsylvania State University to study vertebrate Physiology.  She then intends to attend Graduate School majoring in either pathology, immunology or pediatric oncology.
