Executive Team
Mr. McLanahan represents the 5th generation of family in ownership & management. He is Chairman of the Board & Chief Executive Officer and responsible for the overall strategic direction of the Corporation and its sound management and performance. Much of the growth we are experiencing today can be traced to the plans and ideas implemented by Mr. McLanahan ten or fifteen years ago. Diversification was a key element to his plan, which is now realized by 5 separate operating division, each focusing on a key product(s) or industries. Mr. McLanahan has over 45 years of service with the company after graduating with a Bachelor's Degree from Carlton College and then a Masters Degree in Geology from Michigan Tech.
As President & Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Sidney is a member of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee. As President, he is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the company. As Chief Operating Officer, he is responsible for the development, design, operation, and improvement of the systems that create and deliver the company's products and/or services. Mr. Sidney joined McLanahan Corporation after earning an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State University. He has also done graduate work in Mineral Processing at Penn State University and Colorado School of Mines as well as International Business at California Institute of Technology. In the over 35 years of service, Mr. Sidney has worked in sales and engineering capacities before becoming President & COO in 2004.
Mr. McLanahan represents the 6th generation of family in ownership & management. He is Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary for the Board of Directors. Mr. McLanahan is accountable for the establishment of McLanahan's financial objectives and for the implementation of effective business processes, financial and risk management, accounting, corporate taxes, insurances and information technology. Joining McLanahan Corporation in 1994 after earning a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management and Minor in Economics from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP), he has worked in numerous positions of responsibility over the years gaining extensive insight of the daily operations of the organization. |
