New Acland Coal Improves Run Time, Wear Life With DDC-Sizers

One of New Acland Coal’s requirements when replacing their tertiary crusher was that the new machine have outboard bearings that weren’t near the water used in the crushing stage to remove clay from their deposit. McLanahan offered New Acland a special Tertiary DDC-Sizer to meet their needs. Since they don’t have to change the bearings every six to 12 weeks, New Acland can now run their plants for more than 8,000 hours. They are also able to run 5 million tons of product through their McLanahan Secondary DDC-Sizers without having to change the carbide teeth on the machines.
