Liquid-Solid Separation

Liquid-solid separation is a process that removes a portion of the undigested fibers from a dairy’s manure stream. In addition to its innovative line of sand-manure separation equipment, McLanahan Corporation also offers liquid-solid separation equipment to help dairy producers more effectively manage manure and nutrients.

Liquid-solid separation helps dairies meet environmental regulations for land application of manure or to produce relatively clean flume or process water. In addition to its ability to thicken manure solids, liquid-solid separation equipment also pre-treats manure for use in an anaerobic digester, as well as McLanahan’s Nutrient Separation System.
