Representing the fifth generation of family ownership and management, Michael W. McLanahan currently serves as the Chairman of the Board at McLanahan Corporation. He is involved in the overall strategic direction of the corporation and its sound management and performance. Under his leadership, McLanahan Corporation has diversified its product lines, increased its market share and established its global presence.
Michael worked summers at McLanahan Corporation while attending Carleton College in Northfield, Minn. He graduated in 1960 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Geology and spent two years in a Geology Master's Degree program at the Michigan College of Mining and Technology in Houghton, Mich. He has been working full-time at McLanahan Corporation since July 5, 1962.
Michael is a member of the Blair County Republican Committee.
As the Chief Executive Officer of McLanahan Corporation, Sean K. McLanahan represents the sixth generation of family ownership and management. His responsibilities include overseeing the Executive Management Team, setting the strategic direction of the Corporation, overall business development and communication to employees.
Sean began his career with McLanahan Corporation in 1994. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Management and a Minor in Economics from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1992. He is a member of the National Mining Association, the National Stone, Sand and Gravel Association and King Coal Club.
George Sidney, Jr. is the President and Chief Operating Officer of McLanahan Corporation. He is responsible for managing the company’s day-to-day activities and for the development, design, operation and improvement of all systems that create and deliver products and services.
George began his career with McLanahan as a Design Engineer in 1973 and held such positions as Sales Engineer, Western Regional Sales Manager, Director of Engineering, Vice President and Executive Vice President throughout his 45 years with the company.
George has served as Chairman of the Manufacturers and Services Board of Directors of the National Stone, Sand and Gravel Association, Chairman of the Penn State Altoona Advisory Board, and Chairman of the Junior Achievement Board. He is a former ROCKPAC Trustee, and he served on the Penn State Alumni Board of Directors, the Greater Altoona Career and Technology Council, the Altoona Blair County Development Board of Directors and the American Cancer Society Board. Other organizations George has been affiliated with include the Society of Mining and Metallurgical Engineers, the Wyoming Mining Association and the Rocky Mountain Coal Mining Institute.
George graduated from Penn State with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. His postgraduate work in mineral processing was completed at Penn State and the Colorado School of Mines, and he studied International Business at Cal Tech.
Ken Kirsch is the Executive Vice President of Business Operations for McLanahan Corporation. His responsibilities include overseeing Safety, Quality, Human Resources and the McLanahan Academy.
Ken began his career with McLanahan Corporation 30 years ago as a Design Engineer. He has held roles in the company as Assistant Engineering Manager and Director of Project Management.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State.
Jay Nartatez is the Executive Vice President of Finance and Risk and Chief Financial Officer for McLanahan Corporation. His responsibilities include managing the company's accounting, finance, risk management and technology functions.
Jay graduated from Penn State in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. Before joining McLanahan Corporation in October 2007, he held positions as Senior Staff Accountant at Alpern, Rosenthal & Company in Pittsburgh and Senior Accountant, Accounting Manager and Controller of Albermarle Corporation in Tyrone. With McLanahan, Jay's past roles include Financial Controller and Chief Financial Officer.
Jay has held an active Certified Public Accountant License with the state of Pennsylvania since 2002, and he is a member of the Pennsylvania Institute of Public Accountants. Jay served two terms on the board of directors of The Chamber Foundation in Blair County, volunteered with Junior Achievement and coached local sports teams.
John Rabel is the Executive Vice President of Manufacturing and Supply. He is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Manufacturing, Supply, Global Sourcing and Maintenance.
John began his career with McLanahan Corporation in October 2016. His previous experience includes Safety/Production Supervisor at MeadWestvace Corporation's Envelope Division in Williamsburg, Pa.; Safety Engineer and Property Conservation Manager at MeadWestvaco's Chemical Division; Plant Superintendent at MeadWestvaco; and Eastern Operations/Plant Manager for Containment Solutions, Inc. in Mount Union, Pa. He also has experience in Safety, Sales and Marketing with DACO Technical Sales, Inc. in Charleston, W.Va.
John graduated from West Virginia University in Morgantown, W.Va. with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Resource Management. He holds a Master of Science Degree in Safety Management from West Virginia University's College of Engineering and Mineral Resources and a Master of Business Administration from Saint Francis University in Loretto, Pa.
He was a member of the Huntingdon County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and a member of the Junior Achievement Board from 2014-16. He was a baseball coach for Hollidaysburg Area Little League from 2015-16 and is currently a Little League Baseball Coach for Altoona Area Baseball Association. John is also a Certified Safety Professional by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals.
Cory Jenson is the Executive Vice President of Sales and Business Development. He is responsible for the Sales, After Sales Support, Marketing and Engineering/Research and Development of McLanahan Corporation's Business Units and McLanahan owned companies.
Cory started his career with McLanahan Corporation in January 2009 as Regional Sales Manager/Product Manager. Since then, he has held roles as the General Manager of the Environmental Division and Vice President of Global Product Development.
Cory holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Utah State University, with a Major in Finance and a Minor in Chemistry, and has been a member of the Steering Committee of the National Stone, Sand and Gravel Association Young Leaders since 2014.
