Filter Presses dewater slurry material in a series of steps known as a cycle. A cycle includes the closing of the filter plates, filling the chambers with slurry, filtration and the opening of the filter plates. Any optional features, such as core blow, cake dry and membrane squeeze, would also take place during this cycle. The time it takes for a Filter Press to complete one cycle depends on several process and design factors.
