McLanahan Named GACTC Business Partner Of The Year
Hollidaysburg, Pa., May 20, 2025 — McLanahan has been named the 2025 Business Partner of the Year by the Greater Altoona Career and Technology Center (GACTC). This award was established to annually recognize one local business that has provided outstanding support to the GACTC, its educational programs and its students.
McLanahan supports the GACTC by helping to enrich students’ learning opportunities and setting them up for success in their future careers. McLanahan often welcomes students through co-op placements, participates in advisory committees, visits classrooms and helps with mock interviews. Additionally, to help GACTC programs thrive, McLanahan has provided donations for equipment and supplies.
“Throughout the years, McLanahan has welcomed several co-op and adult education students from the GACTC who bring energy and new ideas into our shops and who are very eager learn. And in return, we are proud to provide them with valuable, hands-on job experience that helps to shape their future. Watching them grow and succeed, knowing we played even a small part, is incredibly rewarding. And in most cases, we have had the opportunity to bring those co-op students on as full-time employees, who are still here with us today,” said Kyle Dambeck, Manufacturing Manager.
McLanahan looks forward to continuing this partnership by welcoming more students, supporting the GACTC staff and contributing to a brighter future for the students and the region that GACTC serves.
