McLanahan Wins First Mineral Sizer Sale
After the successful launch of its new Mineral Sizer in September last year, McLanahan has secured its first order to supply the new model machine into a mineral sizing application.
The project is for a new customer in Mongolia, and the order includes a Primary Mineral DDC-Sizer, an Apron Feeder and significant spare parts.
The site, located in a harsh, remote environment, operates with site temperature fluctuations between -45°C to +50°C. The customer required heavy-duty and robust equipment to feed and crush the highly abrasive ROM coal for their train loadout system. The inclusion of remote condition monitoring provides greater confidence for the customer to manage the machines ongoing operation and maintenance.
The Mineral Sizer and Apron Feeder are rugged pieces of equipment that will meet the demanding conditions of the customer’s site and their unique material specifications. The Apron Feeder AF-2400-10-01 is designed to process the ore at 3,500 tph with a 1,000 mm feed. The Mineral Sizer MPS-125-240-500 will then crush this fed ore at 3,500 tph to a 300 mm product size.
Designed in Australia, the Mineral Sizer features an innovative segment design for removal of crushing components, an improved breaker bar design and a flexible drive system option designed for better access, easier operation and increased flexibility.
The sale includes assembly, installation, commissioning supervision and training in Mongolia, and all the equipment will be delivered to site later this year.
