Freedom Series Jaw Crushers

Often used as the first stage in a crushing circuit, Freedom Series Jaw Crushers can crush even the hardest of materials. The attack angle and crushing stroke pattern are engineered to increase capacity up to 15% while minimizing wear on the jaw dies.

Applications

How Freedom Series Jaw Crushers Work

McLanahan Freedom Series Jaw Crushers employ compressive forces to reduce material to a predetermined size. Feed material enters the crushing chamber, where it is squeezed between a stationary jaw die and a moving jaw die that come together in a V shape to form the crushing chamber. Material that has been crushed to size falls through the opening created by the retreat of the movable jaw die, while material that is still too large to pass to the next stage remains subjected to the pressure of the jaw dies in the crushing chamber.

McLanahan Freedom Series Jaw Crushers are able to produce a variety of different sizes of discharge material by adjusting the size of the opening. This can be done by adding or removing shims, or by hydraulically by a programmable logic controller on some machines.

Why McLanahan Freedom Series Jaw Crushers

After purchasing Universal Engineering Corp. in 2012, McLanahan began a total redesign of the Jaw Crusher to deliver profound changes in capabilities and performance. The result was the McLanahan Freedom Series Jaw Crusher. Designed to be a higher performance primary crushing solution than has ever been available, the Freedom Series Jaw Crusher features an increased crushing capacity of 15%, while maintaining the same physical and power footprint as other jaw crushers. That means the Freedom 4450 Jaw can produce what another manufacturer's 50" x 60" jaw would typically produce. This crusher is ideal for a greenfield site, as well as for replacing an existing primary crusher, since it's designed to deliver the lowest cost per ton available in the market.
